What data the app accesses

Sprint Autopilot for Jira reads the following data from your Jira Cloud instance:

  • Sprint details: name, start date, end date, goal, and state for sprints on boards where autopilot is enabled

  • Board information: board name and type to identify Scrum boards

  • Issue keys and resolution status for issues in a sprint, used only when closing a sprint to move unresolved issues

Scheduled actions (auto-start, auto-close, auto-create) are performed using the app account, within the permissions granted at installation. Sprint detail updates made through the panel are performed as the logged-in user.

What data the app stores

The only data stored by the app is the per-board configuration set by your team:

  • Autopilot enabled or disabled

  • Auto-start, auto-close, and auto-create toggle states

  • Unresolved ticket destination (next sprint or backlog)

  • The last automated action taken (type, sprint name, and timestamp)

This configuration is stored in Atlassian Forge built-in key-value storage, scoped to your Jira site. It never leaves Atlassian infrastructure.

What data the app does not collect

  • No personal data is collected or stored

  • No analytics or usage tracking

  • No data is sent to any external server, database, or third party

  • No cookies are set outside the Atlassian platform

Runs on Atlassian

This app is eligible for the Runs on Atlassian program. All compute and storage occurs within Atlassian hosted infrastructure. Your data residency settings in Atlassian apply to this app.

Data retention

Board configuration data is retained for as long as the app is installed. Uninstalling the app removes all stored configuration.
