Getting Started
Install
Install from the Atlassian Marketplace, search for Sprint Autopilot for Jira. No post-install configuration required. The app works on all Scrum boards immediately. The trial is automatic for 30 days, no credit card required.
Open the Sprint Autopilot panel
Go to a Jira project with a Scrum board.
Open the Backlog from the left sidebar.
Find any sprint card. Click the ... (more actions) button at the right of the sprint header.
Select Sprint Autopilot from the dropdown menu.
The panel opens inline on the backlog page.
Edit sprint details
From the panel you can edit the sprint name, duration, start date and time, end date and time, and sprint goal, without opening the separate sprint settings dialog.
Enable autopilot
In the panel, toggle Enable Sprint Autopilot to on.
Choose your automations: Auto-start, Auto-close, Auto-create.
Set Unresolved work items to move open issues to the next sprint or to the backlog on close.
Click Save.
Settings are saved per board. The scheduler checks every 5 minutes and applies automation when the configured dates and times are met.
Auto-start requires a future sprint in the backlog that has not yet started. Auto-close acts on the active sprint once its end date and time pass.
