Getting Started
This guide gets you up and running with Bulk Link & Archive for Jira in under 5 minutes. You will link a small set of issues in bulk to see how the app works end-to-end.
Prerequisites
A Jira Cloud instance.
Bulk Link & Archive for Jira installed from the Atlassian Marketplace.
The Link Issues permission in at least one project (your project admin can grant this via Project Settings > Permissions).
Step 1: Open the bulk link dialog
Open any Jira issue in a project where you have the Link Issues permission.
Click the ... (more actions) menu at the top of the issue.
Select Link Issues in Bulk.
The dialog opens with a link type selector and an input area for issue keys. At the very top of every dialog is a New to this? How <Feature> works link that opens the full docs in a new tab. Handy any time you forget what an option does.
Step 2: Enter your target issues
Select a link type from the dropdown (for example, relates to).
In the text area, paste 2 to 3 issue keys from your project, for example:
PROJ-1, PROJ-2, PROJ-3. Keys can be separated by commas, spaces, or newlines. The app validates each key and shows a count of unique valid keys found.
Step 3: Review and confirm
Click Link N Issues to see the confirmation screen.
The confirmation screen shows the link type and the full list of issues that will be linked.
Click Confirm & Link N Issues to execute.
Keep the dialog open until the operation completes. Links are created in batches, so closing the dialog early may leave some issues unlinked.
Step 4: View the results
A progress bar and per-batch results appear as links are created. When complete, a summary shows how many links were created successfully and any that failed. Failed items can be retried with the Retry N failed button.
You can see all linked issues at a glance in the Link Summary Panel on the issue view. No need to scroll through the issue details.
